I think part's server has a wide enough fanbase that being modded is not going to affect the # of clients that he gets.  Word of mouth is a mother...

The plan has always been to slipstream my custom files into the base RPG download and then make a seperate pack for those already having TRPG.  After custom models are received, I'll wait 1-3 months to allow for a buildup of newbs that possess the slipstreamed pack if I ever do anything with it.

I know.  I've seen servers all die out from custom prefabs.  The thing I was counting on was the fact that I host the primary download for TRPG.  I won't change the TRPG files at all, I'll just add extra support for my mod.

Just making sure you knew what you were doing. Sounds like youve thought this threw and weighed the risk.

And no, tvt and oldworld didnt die out due to 'custom prefabs' considering they didnt have any.

Of course another option would be to cycle the custom prefabs in and out every other month, so one month they are loaded in, and the next they arnt.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

im still thinking... 15 bucks as an award.. thats like half of my allowance, and thats how much i give to offering at church too... 15 bucks isn't really an award its like saying "thanks for submitting and taking hours away from your life to make mine easier and i can just buy it off with money" THEN... 5 bucks man thats a freaking insult... thats my lunch money...

fork you neil.  Normally people contribute for FREE.  Do you understand what that implies in our case?  fork you.  I'm saying "hey, thanks--have some money where you'd normally do it for free".  fork you, motherforking forker.

That pushed all of my bad buttons.
