I really enjoyed my Rio S50 (I prefer solid state) until it broke.  I only gave $20 for it and it was broken before I got it, but hey.  Now I just use my HP HX4700 for music, movies, email, notes, MSN, browsing, etc.  Better value.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

ok so i woke up from my nap this afternoon and my mom gave me a minidisc/mp3 player. its the sony walkman mz-nh600d. it has a gig of storage. the only problem is i dont have the software to use it. see she works at a school and when school gets out for the summer she gets to take whatever she wants from the lost and found that has been there for more than the school year....so i have the player, the headphones and the case.

it seems to work with my digital camera USB cable. But you need a program to convert the mp3s into a certain type of file used on the player. and i cant find that program. grr. so yeah ive been looking for it for hours with no luck.

i think im still going to buy an ipod.

Email their tech support then, ask for a manual download of the drivers and tell them that the program won't automatically download them for you.  You might end up getting the drivers in a few weeks.

yeah that's probably what i'll have to do. even though the idea of getting a new mini disc with a gig of storage for 7 bucks is awesome i think i'll still buy an ipod. you have to convert the mp3s to sonys format and ive heard its slow.

haha i got it to work. it just takes forever to convert the mp3s but that's alright. im just going to load it up so i wont have to for a while.

but yeah this player is alright. for free its awesome. ive been wanting an mp3 player for a while so this is good. the only advantage i see to this player so far is the ability to upgrade storage by the gig for 7 dollars.  but that also means that if you have 20 gigs then you have 20 mini discs that you have to keep track of and change everytime you want a different music selection. which i supposed wouldnt be too bad. it also holds pictures but doesnt have the other bonus features that ipods do like calendars and to do lists and such. it also doesnt have an fm tuner. which is alright.

the reviews on it were mixed it rated about a 6 on tech tv....but im still getting an ipod.
