I want my character back..

When I join to the game i get crashed when i come in , this is after all the Bub malarkey.. Tell me what to do.. Please

i can tell ya a quick fix
--
get an admin to do this to ya

#setexp black-ice 0
--
it will set ur exp to 0 and stop causing you to crash, your lvl is so low tribes has a hard time dealing with it, you will crash even after your exp is set to 0, but just go back into the server after that and you won't crash.

I tried to fix triton last night (his exp was set to like 157000) and he still says it shows him level -2.1 whatever

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

particle, did you not read what i posted, #setexp black-ice 0 is garanteed to fix it, editing a char file doesn't always work, using admin commands is garanteed to work as long as the server doesn't crash before the person disconnects, because when a client disconnects from a TRPG server, the client is saved, and so therefor the new exp/lvl is also saved and hence the crashing stops the next time the client comes in.

I don't really see the difference between editing a file through admin commands and editing it (producing the same result) manually.  With a server reset between fixing and login, there shouldn't be a problem at all.
