Bmp help
« on: February 3, 2007 09:16 pm CST »
Can anyone change this into a pbmp or whatever it is so that Tribes will recognize it.  It's a loading screen I was working on.  I've already changed it to the correct size and also use the pal3 thing to make it tribes compatible, but I dont know how the hell to do the last step.  Thanks in advance.  Also, if you know how to do the last step, please enlighten me (and dont send me to some farking tutorial cause the only one I found blows donkey ballz)

If you want the original pic without any changes, here it is:

Doesn't VT automatically convert it for you?

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Sinister it isn't that hard to convert bitmaps manually, after you get it to pal3(which you have) it is very easy.  Just get the makeskin.exe and then create a bat file like this
Code: [Select]
makeskin pal3 loading.bmp loading.bmp
then you just need to change it accordingly

That worked fine.  I guess I should write a small tutorial with Screenshots now that I can do it.  That way nobody else will have to worry about it.
