I think we need a better solution to the whole dust thing.  Personally, I'd like to remove it and fix the core problem itself instead.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

That could free up two item slots, which could make many people very happy!

I think you're already aware of the core problem, since we've been discussing it.  It is the failing of the current experience system that is causing the problem.  While I don't want to eradicate what makes the game fun for the more seasoned members, I do think it could be better.  We just need to find a better system that would be more fun, less repetitive, and not based on money.

Oh that core problem. Yeah.

Given the current features of the mod, I don't think there is much you can do with it. By that I mean, as far as making fairly simple changes like new zones, tweaking the exp system.
I do love the remort system, always looking forward to that next skill up and the prospect of unlimited potential, given enough time. I think the Time Progression solution would be awesome, but that's taking you into a whole new mod. PCRPG 4.0!

You know before the first clear I think the highest RL was only about 350, and that was with the old EXP system.

Just shows how pathetic the players now are.  Seek help.

eViL had the top rl for a while at about 500 something...We also had a lack of zones...And we spent days dueling instead of leveling at about lvl 1000....

Why would you ever go to cent at level 8 with someone else? Sure you COULD get in at level 8* but when players talk about getting in a zone they mean without the help of other players or admins.
