Back to a subject before lucifer, there was a need for a first movement. It says so in Aquantis' Proof theory. It explains that for the universe to be created, a perfect model/entity was forever there (God). Forever there was an intensely dense peice of matter floating in the void. In some way, a first movement was cause. Perhaps not even a micrometer an hour of a movement. But later this movement accellerates, untill it is moving so fast that the peice of matter explodes (big bang) and the universe is created.
Also, back to lucifer ordeal-thingy. One note I have for fundamentalist readers. They believe that hell is a place of fire where you are tormented by imps for the rest of eternity. Do you know where this idea came from?
During the middle ages, many people were illiterate, so they had to learn about religion through pictures. In order to scare the people into remaining faithful, they created the image that Hell is a place similar to the inside of a volcano.
Here's my 2 cents...
Hell is a place completely devoid of God, correct? I have a feeling that is exactly what it is. Think of it like this, to make it simple. Hitler dies, and arrives at a line. Behind him are millions of Jews that he slaughtered. At this moment, he becomes enlightened, and realizes all the horrific things that he had caused. Before him is God. Because he has becomed enlightened, he steps out of the line and just walks past all the Jews waiting in line. As he passes, the jews coax him to rejoin the line (for they too have been enlightened, and they forgive him). But since he cannot forgive himself, he just keeps walking away, completely devoid of god, where his soul is lonely for the rest of eternity.
Purgatory could be the same way. We keep walking until we forgive ourselves, and return to the line.
Of course, I have no way of knowing this, but that is the only way I can put that idea into terms.
