Those who saw Cloverfield (crapfield) saw this.

Any initial thoughts on it? (For those who care about it. If you don't, then don't post please.)

It's still too early for me to get excited.  Knowing J. J. Abrams he'll do the same malarkey he did with Cloverfield and no one will know anything until the last minute.

If he did the same thing that he did with Cloverfield, I wouldn't even go see ST11 in theaters. I was pretty disappointed with Cloverfield...

I just meant advertising wise.  Everything was all hush hush just to build up hype in order to make the movie gain more box office hits because, face it, he was only given $25 million for the movie.  Cloverfield never really interested me, so I never cared anything about it.

Well for what it's worth, his advertising style worked. The movie broke box office records for something (like most money for a Friday opening...or something)

Anyway, at this point it matters less, because STXI got pushed to May 2009 release. I think it was partially due to the writer's strike affecting the production of the film.
