SERVER CHANGE - Read for IPs, etc
« on: February 28, 2009 02:57 pm CST »
Hello guys, we're on the new box with two quad cores and a DS3.  IPs have changed for all PCRPG services, so if you're using direct IPs you will need to update Vent, TS, Tribes, etc.  Services can all be reached by hostname, however, and if you were using tribes.pcrpg.org to connect to the RPG server that will still work.

Please use hostnames whenever possible as that allows me to update the address you're pointing to without you having to do anything in the future.  For example, services like TS will probably be moving to a new address again, shortly, so if you use the hostname to connect the transition will be 100% seamless.

PCRPG TribesRPG Game Server:
tribes.pcrpg.org:28001

You can connect in-game through the console:  connect("tribes.pcrpg.org:28001");
You can also connect through modifying the Tribes shortcut to include:  +connect tribes.pcrpg.org:28001
Alternatively, you can continue to use the in-game server browser if you have 3rd party master servers installed.

TeamSpeak 2 Voice Server:
ts.pcrpg.org

Vent Voice Server:
vent.pcrpg.org

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
