Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

Sure, its fast, but is it worth mounting a small helicopter into one of your PCI slots?

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

*edit*

9800 Pro doesn't even touch it, so don't go there Jason. In fact, it doesn't even half half the malarkey in this.

I still dont trust nVidia.  CS looks like malarkey ever since the new drivers came out.

My next buy will be ATI, since it seems that it will be better suit for the new Half-Life source engine.  Then again, according to John Carmack, Doom III runs better on an nvidia card.  Still, the next buy is definately ATI for me.

Plus, the memory architecture of the two cards are completely different, and I trust Jason's judgement in saying that the L-Shaped architecture is better.

Every time nvidia releases a new one.. ATI still standing there ;)

From what I see, and hear from people who have the cards, the ATI driver support was bad at first but is better than nvidia's now..

Yes.  My first ATI card fried itself on the first day.  But now, after nVidia made all my games aliased, its ATI for me for the next few years.
