Problems with scripts
« on: June 19, 2003 10:29 pm CDT »
I'm having some problems with my scripts. I have some scripts installed for the different mods on Tribes but they interfere with RPG everytime I play. Now I had a idea of how to get around it, my idea was to setup two different autoexec for regular tribes and the RPG version but I'm wondering if that is safe. I don't think that tribes needs the autoexec to run properly but I'm not sure. Now if I can do that, how do I link the programs to execute those scripts for the two different mods? Would I had it into the target line to execute the file or what. I understand that I would have to quit tribes altogether to switch between RPG script and the regular tribes scripts so don't worry about that. Anybody have a idea to my little problem?

Don't fake it man, you can tell it's you from two forums away. You're lack of structure is a dead giveaway.

It isn't Nuro.  Daywalker, when did I ever say that?  UG is not me--there's been confusion in the past.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

nuro makes more spelling mistakes doesn't he?

why not just exec scripts in game?  thats probably the simplest thing to do... but also the most tedius

Acutally I solve my little problem thanks to a suggestion made by UnderGod which seem to make all my other problems find solutions to themselves. My idea work and I'm up and running. My shifter mod has it's own script running, my meltdown (which I haven't tested yet) will have it's own scripts running and TRPG is running deus pack just fine with no interference from other scripts. Thanks for all your suggestions.

-RPG-SecretAgnt, sorry I wasn't who you thought I was. Sorry to had disappointed you, was he a friend who left or something. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to.
