The Harry Potter books are well written and geared toward all age groups. Just because you think it's cool to not like something, doesn't make it a good reason to. Try reading things other than the forums sometime. I guarantee that you'll get more out of it then ranting on about how much you don't like books, and you might even become a little bit less biased.

I read the first book in one night the first night i got it, and the second book took me two nights all night reading, both on school nights.  The third I read over a weekend, and the fourth I read by moonlight in a crowded hotel room on a trip to boston.  I cant wait to read this new one.

What purple, your saying they support queers? thats what it sounds like to me.. Why would I want to read a book like that ... I seen the movie on hbo one night because I was bored.. I think I can throw in my opinion if I like it or not :) . The Movie Sucks, The Plot Sucks, The Concept of 5 year olds running around with wands is stupid. -.- I don't think its COOL to not like something.. Where did you get that idea? Because I don't like it it has to be COOL? And FYI I don't read the forums 24/7, even you notice I just came back and post every now and then unlike some people. Why don't you check you info before you try and bang on someone. Only reason why Im reposting this is because Darwin said He liked harry potter on AIM.

We need to make a "Everytime you say thought equivalent of the nonacceptance of homosexual tendencies publicly paraded in today's culture, God kills a kitten" poster, I think.

I scoffed at the books when my grandmother brought them to me, but after reading a page or so, I was hooked.

Are they that addicting? I've heard stories about how great the books are.. lol, even my ex-girlfriend loved to read them  :)

I really like the LOTR series.. but I can't get the motivation to pick up a Harry Potter book.

I guess you aren't very good at understanding what you read, because you didn't understand most of what I posted. I guess stupidity would be a good reason to not like a book, because if you're too stupid to understand it; how could you possibly like it?

yay other losers love harry potter as much as me ;)

this christmas was a HP theme christmas for me. The book set, the first movie, a HP necklace, the gamecube game, and hedwig plush and ticket to the second movie. Grrr Im getting the 5th book on amazon. Didnt feel like waiting in a line with a bunch of kids to get it.

They are very addicting. I can remember when the first book came out. I think I was just starting high school. *maybe* And I thought it was a little kid book and I had no interest in it. I never even noticed when the rest of the books came out. But then just like everyone else I saw the movie and loved it. Same thing with Lord of the rings. I used to own all three books and I threw them away because they were HUGE and i Couldnt take them in the car when I moved. GRRR Im so mad at myself for that.

anyways. um...that's it.
