why would we want to add new stuff to a server so they would have to dl a entire new thing to play our server... you know how many newbies wouldn't do that -.-

The manner in which is required to download and install trpg is annoying enough as it is.  I dont understand how those 56kers pulled it off.

Bah, what most annoyed me was how the server used to crash every hour or less.  And I would be on my PII 300 with substandard dsl speed.  And after the server crashed, I would have to restart tribes, since it would time out every time thereafter.

Rofl, I remember my connection and computer used to suck so bad that I would disconnect in Keldrin Mines just so I wouldn't time out next time I connected. I know it sounds weird but I would never time out when I tried to connect, as long as my character spawned in the mines.
