Wow..

I bet you've tried to color a dot where the center of your crosshair would be in CS too..

why would you...  its useless... lol, you don't go by crosshair in cs, you follow the spray and aim accordingly to make the spray hit something.

eViL, you were probably the coolest but most misunderstood person in this community.. maybe the rest will find out how cool of a person you are some day, and don't get too mad at the people who dont understand you.. its their loss in the end.

That only partially works.  Sure, you aim down in a second if you're using an MP5 full auto, but you have to understand something.  The marks on the wall that you see are not sync'd with the bullet trails calculated at the server.  You can shoot glass and have it not break with no mark, or have a mark on the wall and the glass still breaks.  Only hits with entities are communicated back to the client.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

That was on my laptop screen.  I dont think I would want to try that on it.  Plus, I rarely play CS, and doing that would be a waste of tape.  I only no-scope when the guy is like 1ft away from me also.

For the most part yes..

The auto snipers follow the tracers which jumble all over.. That is the first 15 or so bullets you fire..

Then it acts "normal"

If your screen is as dirty as it looks in that photo, you need some Windex, Darwin.

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

They actually don't.  The case of the inaccurate first deagle clip (dunno if it's still there) isn't real either.

What I am telling you is that HL draws a random mark on the wall (that the weapon is programmed to do cone wise -- client can be set differently than the server) instead of waiting for the server to say where the bullet actually hit in order to maintain a more fluid real-time environment.  It's that way for all weapons.

Let me see if I can dig out the study and you can just read it for yourself.
http://www.summerblue.net/games/cs_report/preface.html

It was written for CS 1.3, but the HL engine netcode and behavior hasn't changed for the most part.  It's about 30 pages long and a very, VERY good read for any CS player.

I've read it before..

The deagle still has invalid tracers..

The auto sniper bullets actually follow the tracers for the first 15 or so rounds fired.. WHich jumble all over the place not even near where they should be.

All I am saying is that the decals do not correlate with the actual bullet destinations.  Any statement contradicting mine is wrong.  End of story, unsavory woman at Valve if you don't like it.
