Server status page..
« on: September 26, 2003 11:33 am CDT »
Well, I know it is possible, and this poll won't definately decide it since I haven't asked Particle yet, but would you guys like something like this?  I'm sure there is a way to make it so it checks if the server is up automatically and sends that information to the site..

Maybe there is a way for it to refresh the server and show how many people (and who) are in it?

Would you guys like something like this?

When two remain, so does the war, one must fall for there to be a reckoning.

Why bother? If you have Tribes installed, you can go look yourself. If you don't, it doesn't matter if it's up or who's in it. It just seems so pointless.

Well, it's much easier to click a page in your favorites than to open tribes and refresh the server.

Ohh, or...  A program that sits in the bottom of your screen (can be fit to winamp) that gives you the stats on the server (w/ players and such).

True, but why? Why bother with something like this? It'd be like a kaleidoscope. Absolutely useless for everything except looking pretty.

Yes, useless, unless you want to see who all is in the server because you might want to play with someone?  Beats opening tribes every time to check the server =X

If you want to play, you'll be opening up Tribes anyway. So unless you're like Darwin and whore over the server list instead of the forums, then it's rather pointless and a lot of work and bandwidth for really nothing.

I dont whore over the forum like I used to.  I used to check it every 1-5 minutes.  Now I only check it when I am bored.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
