As for the shining bolts and stuff, I much rather prefer objects that have non-glowing characteristics, or have glow that's not so "look I am bright and flashy looking as I glow!" when they go by.

Anyway... as I said before; to each his own. ;-)

Yeah, to each his own.  Might I recommend MOHAA or RTCW?

I saw MOHAA... and it looks worth a purchase... but I always wait for prices to go down before I buy... for example, I just got tribes 2 two weeks a go and have yet to install it... but I paid the minimum price! :-)

You may ask why I liked tribes so much with my dislike of the glowing ammo bolts... well, I think the variation isn't too overwhelming, and there's nothing in tribes that I can think of that's hot-pink collored :-D

What's RTCW?

ahh... yes, I have played RTCW... though it was just at a LAN about 2 hours before te sun came up. :-)  The single player was totally cool, but the multiplayer definately needed more than just 3 people to play it effectively :-D

I'll wait for the proce drop though ;-)  Thanks for the info!

Nice little fact to show how little of a gamer I am:
I didn't even know of Unreal till I started seeing posters all over for Unreal Tournament 2003.

So RTCW was good? Good as Tribes? (hehe)
How is it similar, or different to Tribes? Maybe I'll buy it when it gets to $12 like I did with Tribes 2, even though my graphics card can't handle Tribes 2 :)
(Actually I just got Tribes 2 for my birthday... this year)

hahaha... I did the same big, for my birthday I purchased it for 12$ this year... then saw it for 10$ at the next store.  (last week or the week before... I forget)

I still have to install it and try itout.

As for RTCW;
It's not much like tribes at all.

Ever play woldenstein 3d?  It's an oooold ass game, and this game is a sort of sequel.

You have several classes to choose from on each side (nazi or allies) and a few different weapons for each.  It takes place in world war 2 europe, returning to a castle in germany which your character escaped from in the first wolfenstein 3d.

It's pretty cool I think, but I prefer single player mode.

Adios!

Pecker........ I had the entire first episode and all secrets and secret levels and secret bosses memorized for Wolfenstein 3D  (the second color version most have played.)

Sometimes I have dream where I am trying to beat old wolf3d levels... it's as sad as ducking in the kitchen when I think I'm being shot at my a laser turret, or stopping mid-pace and gasping as I nearly step on a mine that isn't really on the ground.... because real life isn't tribes. :-p

After playing counter-strike for a while, you start to notice every single sound and plot where it is coming from.  Then you realize that you don't have to turn around and shoot anybody.  It's wierd, but it lasts for about 2-3 weeks after you quit playing when you played a lot previously.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
