heeh pecker!
I know Eternal and Krillin... how are they doing btw? I am not sure who GE is, but there was some guy in your w00 server who knew who I was about 15 months a go and he kept on asking me strange trpg questions.
;-)
Peace!
As for you Hersh...! ! ! TOPAZ AND READ THIS:
And I don't see how General can make $100 a day. Not many people tip the bus boy, considering they leave before he comes to clean up.
In California (and I am told allmost all other states) the Busser gets a percentile of the server's tips they are working for as long as they do their job. The minimum legal ammount in cali is 10%, (or was 4 years a go when I bussed) but your server can choose to pay you more (I got at least 15% from each server) if they want. I worked at a very inexpensive resteraunt and bussed at least 40 tables a night for two servers (that's # of times people sat at tables) and got at least 15$ minimum from each on a slow night. Of course, I was a busser, not a clean-up-after-they-left person. ;-) I was clearing plates and packing up to-go boxes and resetting tables and bringing out non-alc drinks.
Some of the finer resteraunts in this Valley (Napa) a busser makes anywhere from 150$ a night (mustards resteraunt) to 1,000$ a night (the french laundry resteraunt) depending on their ability and the night of the week. I have known of people to get just a 1,000$ tip from one table at each of those (for the server) which would equate to 100$ minimum to the busser by cali law.
ANyhow......... If he's doing anything better than "Denny's" then I suppose it is possible for him to make more than 100$ a night.
come to think of it... I busssed my ass off at a place where the food was cheap enough that a 2xtax tip would be less than 10$ for two people not having drinks. Of course... I guess that's what I got for working at a family resteraunt. :-p :-)
Peace!
