Snow is pretty!
« on: December 2, 2003 10:27 am CST »
Yay! It snowed today! First one, practically. It has snowed in the past few days, but hasn't covered the ground much. It's a good sign, since I love to ski. Anyone else share my joy?

I enjoy snow while it's pretty and before it gets in my way.  I also hate when it melts... it gets everything muddy.

Excluding the previous two statements, I really enjoy snow.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I love snow down here in Charlotte, NC. It's great, whenever we get a few inches they cancel school. (We only get a few decent snowstorms through the whole winter)

It's especially fun when it melts then refreezes on the steep/hilly roads; me and my friends always take our old skateboards, remove the trucks and wheels and use the decks as snowboards!

Where does every one live that they get snow?

I live in Napa, Cali... so we get snow about once a year (starting about 4 years a go) for a day or two, but it melts before it hits the valley floor, and the peaks and mountains of the valley are white-topped for a few days after it stops. :-)  It's kinda cool... last year it actually snowed enough that we could go up to the Atlas-Peak and make snow balls, snow people, and other things.  It was cool!

I used to live in lower NY. But last year we moved to upper NY, by Albany. I've only spent 1 winter here, and it was filled with snow. My god, it covered up the space between the sidewlak and the road, like 6 feet up!

P.S: Snow tastes pretty good, too. With the sore-ass throught I have right now, I could sure go for some snow right now...

Speaking of which, I just fishtailed twice while coming home, and skidded right into an intersection (I hate driving trucks in the rain, the back is too light).

Hmm.... You shouldn't eat snow (at least, not in Tahoe California...) unless it is brand-spankin' new, and even then you might not want to eat it.  A micro-organism infecting your insides for a few weeks and making you malarkey your brains out isn't too fun from what I've seen happen to other people.  (Giardia I think is how you spell the name of that.)

Anyhow.... icicles are usually mixed with heavy metals and bird waste from the roofs and trees they form on.... I wouldn't eat those either.
;-p

Fresh snow's good though... just watch out where the huskies go.........

ArrR!!!  Thar be a blizzard in Tahoe!  Batton down the hatches and accelerate to attack speed!
