There isn't nearly as much, and I'd estimate that at least 95% of what money there is goes into dust purchases. The most money that can be made in an hour, for a normal player, is 4,397,440 from collecting claymores.
Mining can net you (not counting Keldrinite which has never yet been mined) at most, 7,160,471 from mining a diamond every time you swing a pick axe (which not even a level 900 can do).

Xenos was the first player to 1 billion and held the most money for a very long time. Don't think anyone but Xenos has over 500 mil anymore.

Ahem...No one? Are we talkin post or pre clear? And I believe that pre clear the char Internet was mining Kelds though I believe he had about 10bil mining.

Pre-Clear doesn't really count....everything was duped/hacked/or admin given...
I mean...level 25s dusting to 101 to remort and do it again? That's real legitimate  :P

I started the lvl 25 to 101 dusting thing...Though I was already insanely high...Stupid bashing can take its toll if you miss...And it was quite legitimate. Well everything I did was. I don't remember duping anything ever except on B&N and that was like 7 million coins once a week when I got down to zero from randomly buying malarkey and giving it away.

I forget how the exp system went back then, but, currently it costs you 104 million to dust 25-101. That's a lot of money and would take, what, 12 hours of mining if you mined diamonds every time?

I could do comparisons if I knew the old exp system. (max exp per kill, exp per level, etc)

Party EXP max : 2500
Dusts from 3-101 : 22 (aided admin teleport help)
Dusts from 25-101 : 17
HP required to survive bash and impact : approx 650

i remember using a pair of bogs to get to the dusthouse, We would USE dusts to keep us in the air lol....

Yeah, that's...a lot different.
101,000 exp needed to level / 3500 max exp per kill = 29 kills per remort
515,000 exp needed to level / 5200 max exp per kill = 99 kills per remort

How easy was it to get max exp with rank points? 200 rp now easily gets you 4000 exp per kill right up to 101.

Another comparison, although I forget the exact amount given by current dust, if it's the same as the old dust, we can use 4400 as a fairly close guess:
1,500,000 exp to level 1500 / 4400 exp per dust = 341 dust
100,000,000 exp to level 1500 / 4400 exp per dust = 22,728 dust

I think it's a little harder this time around  :?

4625 exp per dust...And you can jump on top of someone and jump up at lvl 8 to get into cent...Yes you can jump high enough. And I don't remember rank points but no one got the solid 1000 every kill up to 101...They were hittin 600-700 per kill out of party about lvl 90...I had 242 rp and I was gettin that much.

I remember when they introduced the "magic dust" item.  It was cool then, but it seems pretty lame now.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Yeah, it takes ages to buy thousands of parchement, trade that in for dust, then fly out to dust house and spend it. Takes so long they even have scripts for that, too!

I used to do it by hand so shut up. Just pay an admin a mil and they will usually just convert your coins to dusts. Or exp...
