it just makes targets infront of you apear farther away, while targets beside and around you apear closer since you have a fish-eye view and can see more around you than what regular human vision can. I still remember back in the day when people considered it a cheat. Heh, back then everything was considered a cheat, even a low ping to some people  :P

Well u couldnt see directly behind you unless you set it FoV at 360.

I personaly wouldnt play any game w/ it above 120. Beyond that gfx start warping hard, its too fish-eyed and things infront of you seem so far away.

How exactly do you set your FOV?

For tribes you go to your tribes folder, then config folder, then open up ClientPrefs.cs, then look for $pref::PlayerFov = "90"; and change the 90 to whatever you want to have your default FoV set at.

While we are on the topic of tribes editing... How would one go about adding shadows of players to tribes 1?

Thats an easy one.  I believe its under Clientprefs.  Just press ctrl+f and search for shadow.

Itll take ya to two lines of code.  Just change the boolean one to 1 (enabled) and change the other one to... 30.000?  Thats somewhat how I had mine.

You can also get a script for changing shadows in game, and there is also one for chaging FoV aswell. Not really needed but it beats going through your folders and stuff.

There is an easy in-game meathod of chaging Pref::'s (Even those which dont show up in ClientPrefs.cs) Bring up the Console in a game And Type $Pref:: And hit TAB each time you press TAB it'll scroll through the $Pref::s it works with any letter and symbol thats the begining of a code bit or function too, really handy

I only aknowledge a mods skill by the skill and competativness of the players themselves. And fact is, nothing beats base. The only good mod players seem to be ones that practice on base. As for competition, base is the only thing w/ ladders going right now, everything else died like 2 years ago and struggled to stay competative enuff to maintain thier own ladder.

Since pretty much 90% of the UR community cant even grasp the concept of skiing, i dont see how they could be good at all in anything besides UR, where u get 500 ammo rapid fire one shot insta kill weapons, unlimited flgith and everything else a newbie could dream of. Only in a newbie mod like UR could a cheat dominate like that. I could take this auto aim to base and it wouldnt make me a godly player, like it does on UR.

(btw i hope you were being sarcastic saying that, and w/ the caps lock and all   )
