Windows 98SE is by far the best OS I've ever used.

I switched from ME to XP, and that was like a month ago, I still hate XP.  ME ran perfectly for me for almost three years, never had any problem with it.  I found ME and 98SE to be way more versatile than XP, they allow more direct access to a lot of the computer information (ie - run->winipcfg would give you all your IP information and that doesn't exist in XP).  so overall, XP may have been a step forward but it was also two steps back.

for me anyway. It might have ran fine for others but I had too many problems with that OS to ever think about using it again. My sister in law still uses it and is always calling me up wanting to know how to fix things with it.
