No worries!  The PC version sucks ass, performance wise.  My Radeon 9500 can't even do it at a playable level.

Really Particle?  My Geforce3 plays it extremely well.  Only problem is (as with every other game, including CS) it will be doing well at 30fps for 30 seconds, then it will drop to somewhere around 2 fps for 5-10 seconds, then jump back up to 30.  It continues to do this over and over again during gameplay.  Even when im not moving around/looking around, it does this.  I have a feeling its my mobo, memory, or cpu.  It isnt my vid card because it did the same thing even with a Radeon 9700 pro in it (a friend let me borrow his for a week  :o ).


It used to not be like that.  I would get 100+ fps in CS, and still can.  But then it will drop down to 5-10!  Its driving me nuts!

I just remembered yesterday that I'm running the development version of DX9, which includes the much slower debug versions.  It must have come bcak to bite me in the ass on such a demanding game.  Of course, I was trying to play it at 1280x960 I think (my normal game resolution for things, except Q3 & Q1 which I run at 1600x1200).

My Radeon 7500+ runs it perfectly fine. I dunno whats wrong w/ j00 people. I love Halo for PC.

Yeah, uh, that Res is a little high for the first fully DX9 game...

Graphics on my Laptop's vid card, which is equivelent of a Radeon 7000, are kinda bad when it comes to halo.  My desktop has it in full glory though.


What is the purpose of playing a game above 1024x768?
