Beef up your security.  My grandfather is gonna get a beehive this summer (he used to beekeep as a hobby).  Unfortunately for me, it means that sneaking over the fence will quite an ordeal for me.  :(

He was talkin about how itll keep people from sneaking over teh fense, and looked over at me.

If you ever re-install your audio stuff, please keep in mind that if you bolt/weld things down, the theif is more likely to destroy it from anger than declare defeat and run.  The best strat is to keep them out of the car.  Also, if they are injured on your property (as if you were to surround your car by razor wire for example) then in this great country of ours, you may be sued.  It's BS, I know.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Yeah, I was going to make my own security alarm by wiring the battery to the body so you shock the hell out of someone when they touched it, but then I found out it is manslaughter.

Wouldn't that really run down your battery? That'd be cool but what if you put the car key in the keyhole and you got shocked? lol..

I would have a switch to turn it off, and yes it would run down the battery, but at least it would keep the assholes out of my jeep.

Actually, that would be more likely to blow up your battery... connecting both terminals to the metal body would also cause the terminals to connect to each other. Leaving it that way all night would, at best, ruin the battery.

I spent way too much time trying to make batteries and things blow up in grade school :\ Luckily I never succeeded :D

Keep the amperage (current) down and up the volts, as long as you keep it below 30 milliamperes your odds of giving a heart attack decease... if thats what you want... (Actually, 3 to 5 milliamps can stun a person for minutes at a time...think taser)

the more volts, the more unpleasantness...

Oh yeah, remote, try sleeping in your car with a big butcher knife next time... or something long, sharp looking, and metallic would do... Swords would scare the piss out of anyone I live near.
