Why can't you get adaware?

You should look at your startup programs in the start menu (of all profiles), and check the startup apps in msconfig.  If you find anything you believe to be related to that spyware package (they often disguise their names, too, btw) disable it.  Often, spyware launches a program on startup that sets your home page and keeps checking it and setting when required.

If you need adaware, I can email it to you.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Because it will only let me acess my favorites, can you please email me adaware? When I type http://www.google.com it goes to magicsearch.ws/s=www.google.com something like that

Thank god for system restore. The only thing I lost was about 2 gigabytes of anime >_> Thankies to part for trying to help and thanks to evil for sending me adaware. I found that the only thing adaware and spybot did was fix it, and then it would automatically come back.

I always get this same spyware program that names it's self as "microsoft frontpage 2.0"

Rofl, it's hilarious.. the part I find amusing is they don't even bother to capitalize the "M" in "Microsoft". ^_^

There are some things that Ad Aware wont remove.  My hand slipped and I hit an emoticon-advertising banner, filling my computer with popups and spyware.  Most was removed by adaware, but there seems to be a little bugger that still pops up when I open and close my browser.  Im sure the patch will come soon (remember to update your adaware weekly).

Go into msconfig and disable any programs that are unfamiliar or that have the same directory as that "microsoft frontpage" folder.

If that doesn't work.. then go into the folder and delete anything that you can to try and paralyze the program or somethin.

Well it has like a bin folder and it's saying that is being used and that's why I can't delete it.

Well if it's nothing but folders then it shouldn't do any harm to your computer?

Right..? Lol, I dunno.. I can't exactly remember what I did to rid my computer of it. Sorry. :\

Ok remember that toolbar I was having trouble with? Spybot and adaware both did not get rid of it. When I use the search option on the toolbar it takes me to this page. Hopefully someone will recognize this and be able to help me.
