i vote to put my old char back into the server and i'll be the admin. just like old times...

quest master... hrmm... if half the players on the server would be mature enough to not sit on their and bug the malarkey out of the admins, they would stay around longer and do more... but that is far from hopeful.

the problem is we dont have anyone who does quests, sure an admin does one once in a blue moon, or rarer then that but we need someone to think up fun malarkey to do and do it... leveling, pking, and mugging gets old fast :/

the problem with golfing is the terrain is too hilly... if there was a giant flat spot with a hole somewhere... we would be set :).  pack hunts are cool as long as you can get them setup without people following you, and the pack give-away sort of ones are always nice because you can hand out tons of stuff you don't need anymore but all the lowbies have a use for.

dunno, depends on where you stand as to where a true quest is... to some a true quest is killing the unkillable, to others it is merely the helping of another player to get something done.  You choose your own.

Particle's is popular because it's so easy. There's relatively no risk at all. The bots stay behind walla snad there's a billion rules to prevent any type of human interference.

Yeah but people break rules all the time, and rpg mod was made like that in general. Particle's isn't especially easy, it's the AI that makes it easy. And there isn't much we can do about that, maybe if the distance a player can hit with the weapon is reduced enough so that you have to be within bot's hitting range. That doesn't do much about hiding behind the walls, but it does makes some zones like the tden, eoutpost, etc. more difficult.

In the older rpg's from a long while ago, I used to time the swings of some of the characters. Like the Gnolls with the broadswords, so it was slightly more challenging. Though that was before I learned to hug the walls. I think the only characters really worth fighting are the mages since they have more of a 3-dimensional range, but mages hurt themselves with their own magic and hence, become really easy to fight. If you can land one shot in, a cent will take the rest of his life with magic if you can run forward and back (a skill most trpers don't know how to do).

But I doubt too much more will go into development in trpg. The argument soon will be when the servers will go down permanently and when we'll move on. Everyone knows servers aren't free, and why host a server for an aging game?

Move to OW. It's actually challenging. No rules, no admins, open PVP.

open PVP.

thats what i actually hated about it, a lvl 20 asshole chasing around a lvl 2 killing them 9 trillion times just to be a dick... sounds like a great game.

Then like eight Lv25 guys kill the Lv20 guy over and over and take his stuff. Then they kill him whenever they see him again.

If you're talking about when you came on the server and never shut up, then I have no sympathy for you. You deserved to die. It's not like sheltered PCRPG with a billion rules to protect you; if you run your mouth and can't defend yourself, you're dead. Don't want to die? Shut up.
