svchost.exe is an important part of the windows os, i dont recommend you shout it down.

I run so many because I have enough memory.  It barely leaves a mark on it.

Not much really running there...

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I did because things like Painkiller and NOLF 2 would run PERFECTLY (even on my M6)... or somewhat.  NOLF 2 would play the cinematics beautifully, but when the gameplay launched, it would crash.  One time I actually made it into the gameplay, and there were some weird artifacts and everything.  Painkiller runs the actual gameplay for like.. 10 seconds, and I can tell its a very good framerate from what I saw, but then it crashes also.

The crash is just a sudden blue screen with fast moving code, then a quick restart.

I tried the omega drivers, and framerates were the same as the other drivers, but my test was UT2K3, and it didnt render the sky.  So I was like f** this, then deleted them.  I cant get that Omega icon off (havent really tried that hard...)
