Which computer sound system do you run?

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Neither of these.

I use a labtech 2.1 set.  60w.  For 60$ (like 4 years ago).

PC Gamer gave a really good review of it at one point.

2 or 4 channel audio is really enough, you know?

I've got a 2 channel setup, but I hope to move to a 4 channel over the summer.  It'll be nice for movies and games.

I ordered a Sennheiser headset Friday for my games where I need communication.  I've always played with a headset when it comes to communications in games, but I enjoy full sound more.

the older 2.1 setups are the best speaker setups... i have the Z640 speakers as well as some old bostons (BA635)... and they both do very very well but the bostons can take a big beating and still keep going.

Sound System = Sound Card. I would think that if he wanted speaker systems, he woulda put "Computer Sound Speakers" or "Computer Speakers Type" or somthing.

But when you say stereo system you are talking about the speakers. And you could have read the previous posts...

$10 Walmart Speakers and like $30 Cordless headphones. (I'll do better when I feel like I need to.)

This post, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read.
