Stupid mistake? How is manually typing out the letters l-o-l a stupid mistake? lol! Oops, there I go. My fingers slipped.
//that's silly! :-p That's not what I was saying. :-p
My point is not that everyone who uses these acronyms is a dumbass; rather, those who use them as punctuation at the end of every sentence fragment usually lack the creativity or vocabulary to get their point across with words.
//I agree with that in varied instances.
There's nothing wrong with pointedly using them in a reaction. Using them as a reaction to your own post is foolish and tells me that the person lacks the intellect or sense of humour to make things funny without blatantly saying so.
//I agree.
"that didnt make sence lol"
Any time I see a statement akin to that, I fill with desire to launch a dictionary at their face with high velocity. It also allows me to make informed inferences about their mental prowess.
//Sounds like a personal problem. ;-)
I won't even start with the "I meant to do that."
As far as "I meant to do that" I did in fact. I know it seems totally cliche for people to use that excuse when their own mistakes were ponted out, BUT, I did use your response (which I guessed would happen) as a turn around to illustrate that it is not beyond you to point out mistakes as well as make them yourself.
This is all in reference to being "anal about things".
I guess what I am trying to say is... "let it go".
I am
not argueing, and not trying to start an arguement, but just voicing an idea.
I see now what you mean. Before I just kind of saw your comment as a broad overstatement which placed all of the shorthand, smiley, and "anti-creative" people in to some "anti-intelligent' catergory.
Now that I see what you mean it's all good. :-)
Peace.
Also... Dark, if you have nothing valuable to add to a conversation, then add nothing at all. :-p You comment sugests that all people, except for silver, are exactly the same in reference to your intellect. goofy! hehe..
Peace.
