Uhh.  There isnt really that much electricity running through Cat-5 cable, Hubba.  And I dont think electricity is going to damage my computer through 802.11b.  Plus, a surge protector normally stops the powerline connection.  In order to get the purest speed, you dont want any obstructions.

The laptop, on the other hand, is plugged into a surge protector.

The use of a scrambler box to get free cable is illegal.
