Grammar isn't taught in schools anymore, at least in Canada. "English class" has been reduced to mucking about poetry and reading novels. Interesting fact: In days long past, English was a useful and informative class.

My english classes have had a heavy focus on interpreting literature, but Honors English I had one semester of grammar just to make sure we didnt miss anything.  I have never written a paper that scored lower than a 93, except for the last one, which I made a 0 on for not making a bibliography or endnotes page.

I enjoy my current teacher. He's the only teacher I've ever met that understands the importance of formality and grace in English, for lack of better words. Less than 5-10% of the honors class has a mark of 90+. Even less for the academic class.

I have to dump a cup of freedom fries on everything I write in order to make an A.

I have written an email to the AOL TOS guys.

Code: [Select]
I would like to report email abuse by the AOL user MPWright9, as he has flooded my inbox with spam mail.  Screenshots of the abuse are included below:

http://img1.imageshack.us/img1/1989/floodedinboxMPWright9.JPG

These emails were recieved on Sat 04/10, and each email ranged from 3-4kb in size (each containing an attachment which I did not open for fear of malicious viruses).

I think it's fine; I was just sharing a laugh at your descriptive term. For some reason, you brought back memories of Al Menconi.

Evil, evil viruses...

I remember about telling people how evil the sun was once when I was drunk.  But back on topic.

If this guy loses his AOL account, does this mean he will lose the site too?

I believe I once referred to the sun as "the bane of the nocturnal alcoholic". My friends were much too drunk to understand what I was talking about. Ah, the life of a designated driver.

As far as the boom car boy goes, I have no idea about AOL's policies.

I'm feeling unsually chatty tonight. I guess five hours in a car does that to a guy. Happy Easter everyone, by the way.

I e-mailed it..

I also put the name Steve Moore on there to stop any of that..

Oh, and for blazing right through the letter, I think I did pritty good.

The one semicolon that should have been a colon was a typo. I sometimes don't hit the shift key hard enough when I type.

The other one was just a stupid mistake =/

I figure an idiot like him would avoid the main points of your email and instead pick apart trivial details about your message, such as the grammar or the anonymity. I was just helping you eliminate one such escape route for this lunatic.

Well we should all make sure to let him know how foolish he is if he tries to dissect an email for the trivial details.

If he refuses to address the important parts of Oz's email, I'll have to send one of my own. Petty bastard.
