Erm... Hate to bump a dead thread and ask a stupid at the same time, but where exactly is the Tribes 2 download? I was looking around Fileplanet and it looks to me only Tribes 1 was released.

They didn't have a shortage, they gave the correct amount of keys away, Unless you believe that they should have had the same amount of keys for each person that was willing to download the game for free.

How could they have had the correct amount of keys if they didn't have enough?

Remember.. You can't buy the game in stores anymore.

They had a shortage.. You either have more than enough or not enough.

Actually you can buy the game  in stores, i was in Wallmart yesterday and it was there, That's the reason i went to the computer department.

Then Wal-Mart is just trying to get rid of stock.

You can't find T2 around here.. Not that they had many copies in the first place.

Why cant they just make a patch to get rid of the CD keys? I think theyre pretty useless...
I mean sure, there are user profiles and stuff, but they can get around that. Tribes 1 was easier to maintain like that!

My guess is that it would take too much information on their servers. I think all the profiles and histories are all stored on one or 2 servers.

Or perhaps it's just "Whoever gets it gets it, as long as we get rid of tribes 2 expences"

tribes 2 gameplay sux, but there are some pimpin mods for it.
Construction mod, Aerial Combat..its good stuff

Team Aerial Combat (TAC) is much  better for Tribes 1. It's the only mod I play anymore.
