Character Restorations

You MUST send an email to theft@pcrpg.org along with what you desire your password to be, what you've lost (or artificially gained), character name, some form of proof, and it must be polite.  Once you've done this, your character will be outfitted appropriately and your ordeal will be over.  Passwords are no longer as easily accessible, so we shouldn't have much trouble now.  There will be another security update soon allowing extra security on a per-user basis, but that isn't available atm.

The grace period of restoration will last until midnight (central) on May 8, 2004.  Only send your email one time unless you forgot some of the required information.  Repeated emails may result in non-action.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

IMPORTANT TO DO:

Reset your password in the mean time by #mypassword newpassword

newpassword being replaced by your new one

my pass is a string of random numbers and letters 30-60 characters long changed when i enter the server and when i leave.  AND I GOT HACKED???? HOW IS THIS POSSABLE??????  *sends e-mail*

He's not just guessing your password. It doesn't matter how many characters long it is, it's still your Other Info field.

ok, i logg in the server, then change my pass.  the pass in my otherinfo field isnt my pass anymore.  how was i still hacked???

For starters its a he. This "He" is not actually hacking you. If he was he would do much more damage then just wreck havvoc upon your little character for a game.
