Fake Server

Guys, don't join any server that has Particle's name in it unless it has this exact IP:

216.224.234.78

Unless you hear otherwise from Particle or myself.  There is a fake server up now, so change your pass before you join.

You can check the server IP in the server list for tribes, it's in one of the columns to the right.

Fake server IP is 24.74.44.248

I just, erm, assisted him in his attempt to secure his tribes server application.

Carolina eh? Who was it from SC who was being a nuisance?  :)

DoG, Deathtoday, and zdg are confirmed victims of the fake server. I just got banned from it for warning people. Lol

*edit* He just told me that at least 10 chars connected (probably with their PCRPG passwords) and some of them were high level.

I smell another 'mass restore' coming...   :(

He has like 15+ people's passwords now, or so the people in the server say.  Particle better get ready for either a huge restore, or a click to the ignore button o_o

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.
