You guys are very simple minded..

There are only two RPG's in the world that have a remort system..

This one an T4C.

How many more RPG's are very successful?

It's not "his idea". Remorts were a relatively recent concept when TRPG was still being updated. Besides, there are numerous servers already up that don't have remorts, not to mention 99% of all RPG's.

Another RPG i play has something similar to remorts, but hp (hull) and mana (psi) have to be regained when you mort (tier).

Meaning you have to start all over (leveling wise) with some benefits and you do not retain your skills or stats.

Do me a favor and shut up. Then read all the posts before this that I COULD have been replying to.

EDIT:

You know what? Since I am feeling good today, I am going to do all of the work for you.

wtf.. Ok, people will go on the game, lvl to 101, err 174, and boom, game over..

Your own post. You couldn't even think the slightest bit that there could be more involved than this? Knowing eViL, you think he is just going to change one thing? This is where the simple minded part comes in. You jump right to a conclusion without thinking about other possibilities.

The game would actually be a LOT better without remorts. Let me add the creative part in here for you too since I fear you also lack this. What happens with the remort system? You keep doing the same thing OVER and OVER. Unless your life consists of nothing but sitting in front of a computer all day, in which case I pitty you, this should get boring very quickly.

With that being said, what else could be added in to compensate? To make the game last longer? One of the best things to ever happen to AD&D was the EXP system. You gained levels at snail speed for a reason. So you can be interested in other things, like completeing quests. If it wasn't like this, then you would just spend most of your time outside fighting monsters at which point would make the game uninteresting when you do decide to actually play it.

EDIT #2:

Quote from: "MrSpock2002"
To Undergod: Maybe it's you with the simple mind with no creativity.  Remorts has made TRPG what it is today.

What do you  honestly  think TRPG is today? If you think it is more than a modified chat room filled with a bunch of people who still think toilet humor is the biggest thing in the world, then you need to take a closer look. Yes opinions may vary, but it is close to the same thing.

I agree with UnderGod. Before TRPG I'd never even heard of remorting, it seemed kind of like an odd concept. Not to mention unfair: In most other RPG's, a level 20 is a level 20, but here, there can be vast differences in strength and HP. Oh well, I was willing to overlook all of that because it's Tribes. :)

I prefer exp systems that level at a snail's pace, without remorting. It took me many months to get my RuneScape char to level 60, but at least another level 60 wouldn't come along with four times my HP...
