It's kinda funny really.  Tribes came out after Quake 2.  In a lot of respects, Tribes was a step backwards in features.  (Some of which are why TRPG gets soooo boring)

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

I remember when IS was like that, and JI gave me DK armor and gave me a grand tour of the map :)

Thats one major BS story, because JI can't even stand you. That doesn't even rule out the fact that there wasn't a DK armor when JI was working on IS.

First Tribes memory or Tribes RPG memory? Im pretty sure its older than '98. And im 17. Just turned 17 last april.

You said you were 8 when you first saw this game. If it came out in '98 (I'm assuming he was playing it the year it came out), then 98-8=1990.

tribes came out earlier!...didnt it? it was SO not '98..
Ill retrace my steps. I moved to this house the Xmas that i was a frosh. That would be the year...2001. I lived in my Europa (street name) house for 3 years before moving here...that's 98. I lived at my Wedgewood house since I was 5. And it was definately more than a year before we moved since I saw tribes being played. Im pretty sure tribes is older than '98.
