Your 1st Tribes Memory

Yup came out in 98.

I remember back in 98 i was looking through some of my demos. I seen this multiplayer called tribes, I started my making a offline server and trying it out, i was like HEYYYYYYYY this is quite cool, lets go online with my 56k and play, Never forget it, GHOSTYs Demo server it was called, best demo server ever, they also had the best raindance clan, called RS and SD, i was in RS.

uh.... I think I played the orriginal version of Shifter back before it was labelled "shifter" and after a week of that I went to base for a week, and on my first day of renegades I got on a team called "bti" "best there is" which folded in the following month due to one of the captains being a total ass "bti hymir" and cussing out our whole team for no aparent reason.

Ahh well.

Actually... before I ever played I watched my bro playing the very first incarnation of renegades.  All the turret were controllable so he was just sitting at the RD bridge in the plasma for a few minutes and I thought "wow... that looks pretty boring... go get the flag"

I had many, many names. I never had the same name twice.
I mostly played on "Mr. Digglers MC-12 Server" and "House of Dys_".
I've seen Ghostys server, and I think I've been there before, but I'm not quite sure.

Ghosts server was up until last summer! i nearly died when i seen it, i thought it was fake, but a lot of old players still played.

um.. Mr Spock, Matt.. lol i lived right by him before i moved to dallas his brother was my best friend, they got me into the game, and i would go hunting with them all the time, and ride 4 wheelers on their land, it was fun as hell.. im gonna go visit him this summer, hopefully soon ^_^

Edit: oh and my trpg memory.. when i was first RL3 and went into Uber zone for the first time on UB&G!! man the music freaked me out.. and i was sooo scared about going forward too much, and the uber come out of the corner thing! lol lots of fun though ^_^

Thats exactly how it was for me my first time in uber. Rofl. I rqemeber id jump when I got hit.

I remember going to uber at RL 1 lvl 75 or so, I was shaking soo much i couldn't believe any game could make you do that!

I was at a friends house on the day Tribes came out...2 days later he brought his computer to my house and I copied the folder...it took me about a week to get past the first training(not being connected to any games) going up on the left hand side to hit the target at the top.


actually to this day I never did pay for tribes...

i remember this one time when i was playing tribes for the first time. My friend showed me the game and i decided to try it out. We were on opposing teams me and him. I was just coming out of my base with i think a disc, plasma, and gernade launcher. I see him coming up to me and i just started fire like crazy with my plasma and he's in the air so its kinda hard trying to kill him, but somehow i just killed him! i was like damn.

Then this one time we were on the same team, we were just talking inside of our base. Then i see a enemy coming up behind him and i killed him. My friend looks behind him and is like "Thanks" and im like "NP, now u owe me one "
