We were discussing this in band today, and my teacher brought up an interesting comment...
If you think about it, the US is the only country that has any sort of base in just about every other country. AFB's in Europe, Naval bases in Japan and the Phillipeans....But I dont see a German AFB in Nebraska or a Russian Naval Base in Washington.

What to do, what to do... :?

yes, but most of our stuff was either conquered by us in a time of war or we traded boats for naval bases... etc etc etc.. we would not trade off nebraska to germany.

No but I think the US soldiers that had to go and die in the hundreds would have been better in USA where they belong.  Do you honesly think that if bush was NOT the president that that war would have happend? 9/11 probally wouldn't have happend, Afganistan PROBALLY would have happend and it should have, but who's next? What country is going to fall under bush next? Somewhere warm perhaps?

I think that saying the cause of this was because of the photos is flawed...they were doing the same malarkey before the photos were released.This just gave them a new scape goat to justify what they are doing.There is something seriously wrong with the people of iraq,not only do they not see we are trying to "help" them if you call it that, but they dont see that these terrorists are blowing up more of they're own goddamn people than americans.Im also sick of retired generals getting on sunday morning news talkshows saying 99.9% of Iraqs love us....yes,im sure....when you see hundreds of iraqy citizens dragging dead americans threw the streets i guess they like us.IMO get the hell out or preferably get the hell out followed by a barrage of bombs.

I KNOW that man wouldn't have been killed if it wasn't for those pictures being released.  Don't get me wrong i love america, i've spend over a year of my life there and i plan to spend a LOT more. I have a LOT of respect for what the men and women of the armed forces are trying to acheve, but when you go into another country and start killing innosent people just to get the bad guys then your gonna have a big problem.  My opinion has changed about the war, and i believe it's for the good of the Iraqies but i also believe that bush is bombing the place for personal reasons, he is TRYING to restore the family name.  Bush is an idiot and the sooner this power is over the better, he is no better than Bin Laden and Sadam!

I just read the story..just now...
im angered to no end, and a thought popped up in my head.
Why not become a bounty hunter? Train your body and mind to fight close quarters, to capture people, and bring them back to US confinement. They say "Leave it to the professionals"...so why not become a professional yourself? Leave the system, work on your own, collect money.

I doubt you remember, but when I first ever played on Particles with a different name from Jonah, you thought I was somebody else. Then you helped me and gave me stuff, and I felt guilty because you thought I was your friend, so I left :P.
