Who killed the AMD chips? You'd have to be retarded! They're built like tanks.
Lets see, I've used 4 Intel CPUs in my machine. I've used 3 AMD CPUs. Guess what? I've killed 1 AMD and 1 Intel. The Intel died by itself after about 8 months. The AMD was my own fault...a retarded mistake. It even survived the first time.
So, as far as I'm concerned, I'll stick with AMD. I've never had any of their chips just up and die so far--and they're dirt cheap while being competitive. I paid $90 for this chip, which is capable of besting out a 3.2GHz P4. Not just ratings but actual comparison of performance. The P4 STILL costs about $270, while this chip is about $200 cheaper.
