Temperature download

I think i saw this on Darwins desktop post. I am looking for a download to keep track of internal temps of my computer that will show on my desktop. Thanx!!!

Check your motherboard manufacturers drivers... they tend to include such things these days.

Or... if Darwin posts you'll find his program works well too (if it's what I think it is.)

If you use an ASUS board, use the ASUS Probe.

whats a decent temp for a computer to be running at idle. And what is a good temp if it is being pushed hard say in Game play or such? I have 3 fans running on my new desktop. I also put a regular house fan under my desk to exhaust out the air, It runs during gameplay at (processor)54c and (system) 57-60c. At Idle its around 48c. The Game was Unreal Tour.

I'm using a pretty old system, 512 megs of ram, geforce 4 Ti 4200 128 DDR, 2000 p4, Igot an air exhaust, and a cold air intake blowing on my CPU and motherboard, my CPU temp is 31*

a decent idle temp is like 25-35C depending on the system setup.  a decent max load temp is like 50C or below.

I suggest using a large container of IceWater and pouring it over your CPU.  that should get the operating temp down. LOL

try putting a fan on the front of your case to take in the air, That way your not sucking out all the air you have in there with your exhaust.
