I'm sure you do, inside your pooter there should be, do you have vents in the front of your pooter?

No I have a vent on top and 2 in back all being used now. And that blower is for the chip I presume! Are there blowers for just the case?? Sorry about the retard questions but this is first Pooter that I had built.

There are blowers for the case yeah, just like the exhaust, thats to get the hot air out of the case, so if you have one sucking air into the case from, say, the top of the front, then you have a constant stream of air comming into the case, i used to have an overheating problem, then i did that, my computer has been fine from then on.

I found a PC slot blower so I dont have to make new fan holes but i read the specs and I dont think it will lower the temp as much as i need it to. Ok Xanth i appreciate it.

Slot fans don't do as much good as you'd think.  Also, I've used one of those aluminum fans before and they're worthless as far as airflow.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Thats the slot fan I found on Newegg. I dont think its gonna give me the cooling results I need. Looking at the reviews it only dropped temp about 3 degrees

Yes But your computers are allmost needing bloting to the floor, were talking about your average computer user here lol, I take it Ken has got 1 hard drive installed, and a pretty average graphics card.  Wouldn't need much.

before, when i had my problem, my CPU temp was 50*, that's why it was crashing, but when i got a fan, it took the temp down 5*C and i didn't crash anymore, then i got the other hot air extractor and it took it down another 5* just to be sure, works great, i HIGHLY recommend them both.

Yeah I got a 32Gig Hard running and a 128 Graphics card as well. I will keep looking. Maybe I can use one of those slot blowers and achieve the results I need but I am not sure. Maybe I should just run some Air conditioner duct to the case--LOL
