I'll be resigning from admin (don't enjoy this too much, Celtic) today after I do some final quests at around 8-9 PM EST. I'll still be playing some, but not as admin. I'm just going to change my password on solaris to something random and not write it down.
Recently, one of the coolest people I know left this forum and this community.. why? No one here will ever know unless you stop and realize how unreasonable and degrading some of you can be. I just wanted to thank you for that, before I left.
I'm leaving because being an admin has become a job, or an obligation. I used to have fun, and I loved helping people, and doing quests, but now it's not the same.. Now, when I get on, it isn't fun. It seems like working without pay, especially since I have to come to these forums (being a part of my responsibility) and see people unsavory woman at me for being a bad admin because I supposedly ruined the server. Every time I see it, I get so mad, and I always fight back, but you people who say these things bring me down to your level. I say things that are just as stupid and degrading as you say to me, and I'm just not going to do it anymore. You can sit here and have your fun, unsavory womaning and bringing down people that you can't relate to, but what goes around comes around. One day you will realize how immature and wrong you were, and you will wish you had never done it. You say, "this is just a forum, who cares..".. well, these names you see are real people, and there is no doubt in my mind that you act the same way in real life.
I had a lot of great times being admin, but I don't have it in me to be so selfless anymore. I'll still be around, so i'm not giving individual goodbyes. I just wanted to thank the whole community for being so supporti.. oh wait, nevermind. I just wanted to thank a few of you for being kind and seeing things from my side of the fence. So here it is: Thank you. You know who you are.
