As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I have a good additition for the map. You know those holes you see on the ground? Why not make it a wind-hole? Yep. When you walk over it, it makes you fly higher an higher into the air until u leave the area of the windhole, where you then fall to the ground :P *splat*...

And you can make that into a quest too...
Something that you have to reach wayyyyyyy high up. When you come down, uhh, well, it wont be pretty for those with low endurance...

*edit* wait, i didnt mean that ive made the wind hole.  I just mean the idea popped into my head.

C'est tres bizzare...
You approach an ancient wizard, capable of magic beyond your wildest dreams. He asks you if you would enjoy a trip into the future to see what the world you strive to save has become.

You agree, and he teleports you to a place perhaps below the map.  Here is a small landscape complete with a sky.

But something is wrong, you have been transported through time where the Blood Eagle, Starwolf, Pheonix, etc are fighting.  This is sort of a deathmatch, only you have a midevil weapon (sword, bow, etc) while they are equipped with advanced weaponry (mortars, spinfusors).

The only way out of this battle is to win or die.  Winning will award you with lck or skill points.  Unfortunately, dying will result in you losing your equipped items.  Im sure we dont want anybody experimenting with duplication ::)...

I like the future transport idea.  Only problem I see is where would that "deathmatch" take place?  With so many ideas the map is getting smaller and smaller, plus it would have to be completly closed off.  No matter how funny a stray disc killing a newb would be, it shouldn't and won't happen :)  Heh Darwin, I suggest you start learning the map maker....make this a lot easier on Evil and Part.

Ok, Cherry has a couple good ideas...
You see a thief in a dark robe leaning against a light pole *he should look in deep thought*.  You walk up and say "hi", and depending on the options you pick in response to his questions (something about are you an honest thief..warrior, whatever, doesn't really matter) he will tell you of his fellow thief that was caught and put into jail.  He tells you if you want to help that he will reward you with something of great value that he has thefted.  You must first acquire a key to the cell, and also find a way to distract the guard while you make your get away (perhaps beer or something else of the sort).
note:  Another option to this would be instead of a key have some sort of bomb or explosive made by the apothecary after you get him the required items.  Then using it to blow a hole in the back of the cell.  Im sure there's some way this could be done...and if there isn't...make a way :)
The reward could be anything of med value or up.

Ok, how bout this..
(Lufia 2 inspired this for you snes rpg freaks)
Have a mine seperate from the normal mine so that the quest doesn't intefere with levelers...
You find a woman in town sobbing....she has lost her son in the mine, who went chasing after a guy in a cloak when he stole their cart of rubies.  Imagine the son as in his 20's or so.  Your job : To find the kid and bring him home safe and sound.
Side quest:  Don't let the woman ask of it, but if the person finds the cloaked man, kills him, and takes the rubies he drops and brings them when he returns the son, a much greater award is given.
(Keep in mind, its late, mind isn't thinkin so clearly, so that might have sounded dumb)

You walk into a tavern and meet Iolo the Bard as he orders rounds of drinks for his pals.  Then he begins to sing something like this...

"Ho eyoh he hum!"

Ok ok, if that sounds familiar, it's from Ultima 1: the First Age of Darkness.

He whispers in your ear "Dude, i just ordered these drinks, and im out of cash, can you lend me a few bucks?"

You say "sure" and slip him 30 coins.  In return, he hands you a fife.

This fife almost serves no purpose, but if you go into your inventory and try to use it, a sound plays from it.  This can be used to annoy or to entertain people around you.

Lol Geomod was awesome.  I think I once went into the fun area of red faction (A large concealed room with respawning rocket launchers, machine guns, and remote mines with a house made of glass) and decided I was gonna burrow through the ground to see if I could get the glass house to fall.  (to my utter dissapointment it didn't...but that game is still a kick-ass shooter).  Hrmm...no walls exploding :)

Don't underestimate what we can do, Darwin.  It may not be ultra FX, but tribes does have a way of making things explode.  Simple enough with a model for a wall and a jail without the wall the model would be replacing.

Heh heh heh *sends all power to Particle telepathicly*

I too tried to burrow the glass house, it took me hours.  Also, i have pretty much destoyed the entire room.  I have tunnels the extend very far, so far that they stop forming.

What is dissapointing to me is that Red Faction 2 is only coming out for PS2.  Red Faction 1 was great on PC, but horrible on PS2, hope they shape up.

So, uh, where can i get a Tribes map editor for practice?
