Long period without playing...

GRD3 Smokin' - Scarve
GRD3 clear.

Started a temp server for Internet, Bane, and a few of us others from GRD3 to just mess around.  Everybody had admin 5.  Unknown to me, some people were actually starting to play on my server.  I couldn't just shut it down even though I was finished.  People had started putting time into their characters...so I left it on.  It went on like that with a 4 player limit for about a year probably.  I bumped it to 6 and then 8.  My DSL only had 128kbps upload, so it was a little laggy and DSL over here was dirt slow without any upload bandwidth.

About when it came time to shut it down due to it wringing the virgin life out of my DSL connection, IronMaiden showed up and I got hosting with him.  We've been going off of that for about 3 years now.  I started the server forum after Blitz went crazy and banned everybody all the time.  My server wasn't really for the server at that time.  The bandwidth started to irk my CS, so I bought hosting and moved it to a webtel.  Well, the last 2-3 years are recent history so I'll stop there.

Particle - Since about a year after I changed the name from Screw Around RPG to Particle's Custom RPG.  Nobody understood that Scarve was Particle =D

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

The highlighted portion is the part i mean. After you've been around the trpg crowd for long enough, you loose hope that it'll change and the kids will do their homework instead of getting on trpg, but it never happens.

Your definition is for nihilism or existentialism.  And that one quote is so broad you could never tell the difference between the 2 pyschologies.

Apathy would be more of: "Why play TribesRPG, it is a waste of time."
Or: "What the hell is the point of politics, they are all idiots."

More or less the second statement would be the better of the two.

Before I started playing Particles I played on Minotaur Outback Steakhouse as "-Poseidon-". And before that I played on Titans, but I don't remember what name I had.

We were networked.  Every time I reinstalled tribes I just grabbed his config folder off his HDD.  I had access to all his characters.

*shrug* I have no idea what my first TRPG name was. I played on JI&PoG's for a long time. Went through a character clear on it and was there until the day the server just disappeared. Anyone remember when JI was featured in a gaming magazine for the mod?
