The only drawback to all of this talk of clearing and implementing new stuff into the server is that its been talked about a million times before! How many times have Admins said they were gonna work on new stuff for the server? Everyone gets totally stoked about the idea and then nothing ever happens! I am not trying to Rag on you Aphex and LW. I really like you guys alot but there isnt a good track record! Even Particle talked about doing new things with the server such as new armor implements and adding some new fighting areas but it never has happened! What I fear is that your gonna get your Mass clear but the server will stay the same! I think that most of the people here voting for the mass clear are voting on the promises that probably wont come true! Like I said before I am not trying to flame you guys I am just pointing out what I have seen in the last 2 years i have been here!
My track record? I was here for a very short amount of time before the last clear, and I wasn't even the one who was pushing for it the hardest. Do you know how long iv'e been pushing Particle about a thousand different changes on the server? If you looked at the logs of my ICQ messages between myself and particle, you will see that I have done 98% of the talking. I'm just an admin without FTP access, or the ability to actually make the changes to the server. If I had FTP access, these changes would have been implemented a LONG time ago. There is just a huge communication problem between myself and Particle.. he is obviously a very busy person, and when I try to push harder for things, he only gets upset.
He can't do anything about it right now because he is having fiber problems, and the FTP to the server is down, but trust me.. iv'e asked for a lot of things to happen that never did.
So, I take no offense to your "ragging", but you don't even know half of the story. How about YOU bother Particle about it, instead of me having to be the annoying nagging one. I'm honestly just sick of having 3 word conversations with the owner of the server that i'm trying to help, and then getting constantly flamed because i'm one of the admins.
If you don't like the way things are going, i'm sorry.. because neither do I. After this clear happens, i'll do my best to change things around here, but i'm not the only one who has some changing to do. I'm not saying Particle is the problem here, but he obviously doesn't share the same level of interest for the server as most of us do. This puts a bottleneck between the players and what happens on the server, but you guys only see the admins, so naturally that's who you blame.
