Aren't we all trying to work to the greatest applicable crowd, not a few oldbies amongst the community? Sure we appreciate and respect their superior knowledge on the issue, but this is a collective concern.

This community is supposed to be working to the largest appeal - why stop the progress of a greater vote on one end, for two or three traditionalist opinions.

And yes, I did my fair share of time in PCRPG before and after the clear. Enough to valid my claims, just as much as anyone else. Newcomers, casual gamers, and veterans alike should have the same say in all respect.

Right now this just seems like a conflict of whose credibility, authority and length of time in the server has more "bang for their word. Therefore, that would be defeating the central purpose of a server-wide, community-wide vote for everyone to participate in.

Signed,

Fun?

Fun would be Mr. Avalon (Almost none of you would know who I am talking about) Ranting around about his stories in Avalon and his quest to get revenge.

Fun would be the whore house, or the Bar & Grille that people spent a lot of money for me to make.

Fun would be my daring quests where you could lose everything if you made 1 wrong turn or you could gain everything for looking at it with an open mind. (rock quest doesn't even come close).

There are maybe 3 people still around that know what I'm talking about. If you think this is fun now, you have no idea.

The player limit scorched the server.  The people who came with it were just an added effect. I don't care though. It doesn't matter to me anymore.

I don't play much anymore! If we cleared the server I probably wouldn't play at all! Its just not fun anylonger! Too many people have left the server since I started! I moved on to bigger and better things! Good luck as far as the server goes! I still will be around on the forums though!

I know a hell of a lot more than NINETEEN PEOPLE who would vote no for such an insane thing. Tokath currently knows 667 characters, I wonder how many of them would vote if they knew? Would it change the outcome?

It's obvious that very few people who really matter (ie players on the server who can't register on here or have no knowledge of the poll) are voting. Furthermore it's obvious that, in spite of LastWish's request not to do so, people who don't play on the server are voting -- and mostly they're voting yes.

Should this rigged poll actually result in a #massfullclear, it will be a sad day for PCRPG.  :?

Most of the people that vote no would be noobs who don't understand why we need a clear, and they would be voting no just so they don't have to start over.

If you do a clear then do away with dusting completely! Take it out! Let there be lvling from 145 to 174 for non gods and 145 to 1500 for gods! This would make it more of a challenge when you reach god and it would slow down the attempts to reach 174 to bash or steal! This would also make money a Non-issue! Money would only be usefull for weapons and Armor!

Exactly. Starting over sucks. I might support the clear if the illegitimate gods were causing trouble, but they're not. And all the No-voting noobs would likely agree... lol

Boo hoo. Everyone starts over. You actually have to LVL the right way. If you don't like LVLing, then don't play Tribes RPG.

This isn't about leveling... at least not for me.... so you can save the LVL speech for someone who it applies to. None of my chars are over RL4, and most reached level 174 a long time ago. I play pcrpg mainly to help people, and also because I have friends there.

So aside from getting my char to RL 3 or 4 and then up to lvl 174 so it can be a decent helper, I don't play to level.

While i think clear woud solve alot of problems, there is some it doesnt address. I do like the idea of it, but i feel there is a better way.

The money clear seems like a no brainer. it needs to be done. Only problem is those who stockpiled claymores too.

My suggestion is we need to assemble a coding team, something i saw ozzy as before, he could upgrade content, he could code in features, just as much as particle could. We need coders that can provide new thigns to the game. This would entice people to wonder whats new, give people something to talk about, i like this or that. The game needs something new. I've been trying my best to write some complicated and fun scripts, as my latest is my pokerbot, that lets you play poker with it.

Things that make the game something other then chatting and finding a spot to stand in with yoru autoswing. People get bored, "oh nothing to do, so lets do some mimmic killing"

I dont think were aiming at a lot of new coding and game content, just on-the-fly quests that are a lot more thorough by the quest masters. As mentioned before hand in greater detail, we want to try and make them more individual and in a smaller, controlled environment. Generally, something unique and dynamic, but within reasonable time that the administrator/quest masters wants to devote.

Generally, this is more of a maintenance and security clear, coupled with a few new, low-coding ideas. Mainly, new ways for administrators to become more involved and sort of critique their roles as part of a greater meshing of player and quest masters.

Guys, before you start coding, wouldnt you rather aim your coding skillz!111 at T:V? Then we could have PCRPG T:V and we would have more freedom and better built clients? o_o

Duno, but I saw a "Tribes-Con" on TechTV, and they had 100's of oldschool players playing tribes 1 and playing T:V. They were just forking with the grappling hook because that was one of the new things that influenced gameplay ALOT..

I KNOW! WE CAN MAKE A GRAPPLING HOOK! WE CAN LIKE SWING!

I think we need to do a coin, partchment, and dust clear.. If that doesnt work I will 100% support a Server clear. I just don't see clearing being the first option.
