That site seems pretty decent in general price to product wise. What turns me off is that most of their systems use intel. However some of their AMD machines come with mobile processors, which is nice. I would never really buy a prebuilt but that site looks decent for the price.

On a side note, this thread reminds of the kind of thing you'd see on the orb boards.. salad?

Get a power supply that is at least 400 Watts and that is a reliable brand name.  If your PSU dies, it's all over... and it might take the rest of your components with it.

I have been using Fortron PSU's the last 2 years and they seem to be very very excellent... ranked best in stability over all in a few different hardware sites as well.

For ram you will want at least 512 MB of the fastest that your CPU/Motherboard can support.  If your CPU has 400 MHZ FSB, then get DDR3200 (it runs at 400 mhz.)  Match your CPU FSB to ram accordingly.... though beware of anything over 3200, as it generally runs hot and is primarily used for Over Clocking your Chipset/CPU.

That's all I am going to say... because the rest of the components are about personal preference.

Lidge, quit scaring him with details of power supplies.  I was modding my PSU while the system was on (which is NOT A SMART IDEA I KNOW), and had a little metal on metal action.  Ok, so the power was knocked out in my entire house... But hey, the computer worked fine after i got the power back up  :D

Anyways, perhaps hold off and wait for the Pentium M processors and motherboards to come out.  The new Dothan cores are killer!  And the heat they let off doesnt even hold a candle to the massive heat all the other processors let off!

DFI released a prototype Pentium M motherboard, which was reviewed on a site linked to [H]ardOCP.  Check out how it stands up to other processors today:

Yeah, but it's also probably going to be twice as expensive.
