Video Card Help is Needed
« on: August 22, 2004 09:07 pm CDT »
Well today i installed my new super crappy graphic's card and when it turned on, the resolution was tiny (before installing the software to the video card) so then when i changed the resolution, my monitor just says Frequency Over Ranged. Now i tried turning off my computer.. when i turn it back on it still says Frequency Over Ranged...

i dunno what to do!

It means that your computer has set the frequency at which it refreshes too high compaired to what the monitor can handle. Turn it down.

Take a sledgehammer to your monitor, smash it. There should be no more frequency overload problems then.

Nesso, plug ur monitor into ur on-board vid. Change the display setings and plug the monitor back into ur new Vid card.

*edit* you may have to start in safe mode to edit the Display settings
