Be sure to try both the graphical and console versions of the program.  If neither work, I believe there are instructions found on the internet to get around your firewall (these instructions would be for the console version, I'm certain).  Good luck.

I've got an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ @ 2.61GHz and a 2.4GHz P4 on the cause.  Sleeprae said he's put his dual 2.1GHz AMD on it for a few days.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

What's the team number for uberclockers?

*edit* Nevermind

Also, I noticed one time that you were taking advantage of hyper-threading, and it showed a split screen of 2 molecules..  did it do that automatically or did you have to set it up?  (this is to Darwin)

I have two computers folding with hyperthreading.

Folding@home will automatically take advantage of hyperthreading, but will only use 50% of the processor usage.  But, that doesnt mean it folds any slower.  I've tried running two clients at the same time (graphical + console) to take advantage of the whole 100%, and sometimes it would work for a couple of WU's.  But after awhile it would screw up, so I just run the graphical version.

I'm glad to see 4 people folding already!  Keep up the good work.

Ok.  You people said you want to donate to the server?  Help me out then.  I want to build a 4-way cluster of Duron rigs.

Motherboards are not a problem.  I can snatch malarkeyty ones that'll do the job for $1/ea.  Video cards good enough to do these clusters would also be easy.  4MB Virge cards are often found in lots of a dozen for $5.  However, I need heatsinks, processors, RAM, PSUs, and HDDs.

They can be malarkeyty-ass hard drives, I don't care.  It can be malarkeyty-ass RAM, again I don't care.  The processors have to be 1.3-1.5GHz.  The heatsinks can be really malarkeyty too.  It doesn't take much to dissapate a 1500MHz Duron/Athlon's power.  The PSU doesn't have to be anything special.  A GenericTron 150w PSU would be fine, so long as it is an ATX.

Any of you have old malarkey laying around that you just haven't thrown away?  If you've got anything that you're willing to get rid of, PLEASE pm me so I can get this monster started.  If you have video cards, they're welcome too.

I'm spitting out WU's like nothing else!  Particle's coming up behind me with his high-point work units.

When I first downloaded version 5.02, they were sending me those big WU's too.  Wonder why they stopped sending them to me?
