Our city mayor decided to build a forum to host NBA basketball games instead of giving the money to the schools.  Because of this, over a hundred teachers were laid off this year.

My girlfriend's parents who are voting for bush are also voting for the same mayor, so I associate him with Bush.

yeah our ex gonverner cut funding so bad that the school my mom works for had to let the school nurse go. WHAT??!! the school nurse.  amazing.

Higher taxes = more money for the things that are important. Id rather help fund school programs, anti drug campaigns,  and clean city acts.  The taxes they take out are not enough to put you on the streets and they help pay for things like that nice little social security check you'll get every month.

Hey kendril. I think you need to realize this country needs higher taxes at the moment. Paying for a war for oil is quite expensive. And while we do that, public schools (in my city) are rotting away.

Look at how California is in trouble now. Ze Govenator lowered taxes for the citizens there, leaving all the dept to be payed by their children.

Lets face it. We need to pay up in order to get rid of the deficit

Darwin raising taxes now is the wrong thing to do now that economic growth is going up. The proper thing to do is trim the fat that alot of the money is wasted on. If you cut needless governmental programs there is more money to be spread around. Unfortunately with Republicans, Democrats and Independants they have thousands of lobbyist in the capital working to get the money for these worthless programs!
Look at it this way--As a family you have a set income if you have more expenses than money you cut needless things to make ends meet!

LOL I like your stab at me with the war for oil comment! Nice! Not true but nice! LOL

And Aphex you better get your ass a job then cause I am in no way paying your share--LOL

heh i agree with kendril, problem is, who decides what programs are useless? Everything is designed to put money in someones pocket.

Plus i pay a fricken 15% self employment tax (on top of my tax liscense and the tax i already pay), its like their way to make it harder for people to start their own business.

Blame the CIA and FBI don't point the finger at the president. Kerry saw the same info and voted for the war too!
Hey in either case at least Sadam is not gassing his own people anymore--Its not perfect there but it took Germany 10 years to get their crap straight after the WAR. It takes some time folks!

As I told my girlfriend's parents, I'm really not too much against Mr. Bush.  He's a nice guy, if a little on the slow side.  I absolutely hate his administration.  Dick Cheney scares the crap out of me.  They feed lies to a dumb man.

Put non-violent people into office.

Something funny.  Did you know several oil tankers were named after Condoleezza Rice?

The president of the United States affects almost everybody in the world.  Perhaps the entire world should be able to participate in the US election.
