Nothing is ever 100% defended. Except my defense on shifter/broadside. :p
LOL. Some people do some stupid **** there...like laser turrets around the corner. Just strafe fast.
But anyways, I do seriously think that the government had somethign to do with it. It's just too damn coincidental to be terrorists.
You could never strafe past my laser/pulse sensor/motion detector/forcefield/blast floor combo. The second you peek around the corner, your arse would be grass. *But my heavy offense would kill it you say*, .....NO!!! Emp beacon would keep you from using weapons proficiently. *But I can use chemelian you say*, .....NO! The motion/pulse combo would detect you and zap! you'd be dead.
Also, the best D is having a guy holding the defenses. An engineer can sit and repair the front door and also hold invaders at bay by dropping emp grenades around the corner. Takes 2 seconds to refill your grenades and a batch can kill most invaders. If the individual is killing the D from behind a wall, a teammate in scout can scout grenade them into it and it will kill them. My patented (not really) D that I created for the upstairs at broadside can be destroyed, but It takes a long time and I can repair it before it can be totally desimated. Achromatos and I could probably take on anyone in shifter 2vs2 and shut them out at CTF.
If you're a good enough shot with a mortar, you can drop a couple of dozen rounds in and blow it all to hell. Or you could Nuke it. I (once) did that. I was proud. Then I got capped in the head by a sniper from my own team. (*sighs* n00b.)
I always play Engineer with default railgun, rocket launcher, spinfusor, invos, eng gus, the whole deal. I'm a D freak, and a command freak too.
I always divide the team into sections- O, D, and F.
Offence goes for flag, then gen, then invo, then defense
Defence protects flag, then gen
Fsck stays in the middle and shoots fsckers as they try to get in; snipe; base-rape; and generally fsck sh!t up.
