You Ever Get Sunburnt That Bad?

Any of you ever get sun burnt so bad that you're red everywhere (seriously) and the burns are hot but don't hurt...however you feel sick from it?

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

I think you feel sick because when you burn your body is working overtime to fix the damage to the skin, thus the red.

The last major sunburn I had itched like a mofo. It was crazy, i couldn't sleep. Not because it hurt, but because it ITCHED!!

It's called sun poisoning. It isn't so much aburn as just an over exposure to the heat, so your body is trying to dissipate it. If ouo have anything that is actually burned, put some vinegar on it. It takes away the burn and if you start to blister it will reduce scaring tremendously.

It is called Sun poisoning or you are probably dehydrated. Drink some water, or something to rehydrate yourself, and put some Aloe Vera on that sunburn. There is this stuff out on the market called Banana Boat. It comes in a green bottle. It will cool your skin. If you start running fever you need to probably go see a Dr. I lived in Hawaii for 4 years trust me I have had a lot of sun burns from the beach.

what part of hawaii?


and do what hubba says.  I had a constant sunburn the whole summer. It itched so bad and it was on my legs and back so I couldnt really scratch it. GRR stupid pants.

Aloe Vera works the best. Put it in the fridge to make it freezing cold when you put it on yourself. Freezing as hell but it takes away the pain and itching. Just don't wear a shirt because it will like stick to you.  :lol: I've had this experience.

Gah, you think you had it bad on the LEGS?! I had sunpoisoning on my back, REALLY BAD poisoning. It was soooo forking annoying and itchy, and my uncle got it so bad once, he punched a hole in the hallway wall..

...Go buy an Aloe plant.  It'll grow when you don't use it, and when you need to sooth the burn, you just chop of a piece, slice it down the middle and spread it around.  Smeels great, and cheaper than buying that crap in a bottle every time you get burned!

Orr... you could stay out of the sun/covered like me!

I got sunburnt when I first got to folly, but i'm so dark now that I don't get burnt any more..  aloe vera is awesome, and banana boat is all I use :)
